“Drifting Narratives” 2009-2021, Breaking Boundaries Project, Turkey, The Netherlands, Italy, and Germany

Under the title “Drifting Narratives” a group of printed copies of my fabric works and sketchbooks that are produced between 2009 to 2021,  are traveling with the exhibition “Breaking Boundaries Project”

Almost for each exhibition and project, I choose to print small booklets, including sketches and notes that help me to see the mapping of the process and how the ideas are drifting and find their forms in different ways. Under the names “Passport, Identity Card, Müstakill, Bosphorus Tour, and TC” are printed copies of fabric works that formed with the questions I asked within the frame of the border, politics, gender, and urban transformation.

The first edition of BREAKING BOUNDARIES connects 12 artists, 8 curators, 6 art spaces, and 4 countries! It will run in one year, from September 2021 to September 2022

The exhibition presents the artworks of 12 artists, Gözde İlkin (TR), Sevim Sancaktar (TR), Miriam Salamander (DE), Janina Totzauer (DE), Simone Miccichè (IT), Giulia Cacciuttolo (IT), Eva Chiara Trevisan (IT), Giulio Polloniato (IT) Anne Büscher (NL), Willem de Haan (NL), Suzie van Staaveren (NL) and Jan Dirk Adams (NL).

8 Curators: Davy van Gerven (NL), Jelmer Wijnstroom (NL), Federica Fiumelli (IT), Jessica Capra (IT) Ezgi Bakçay (TR), Sophie Charlotte Bombeck (DE), Fernanda Andrade (IT) and Lucia Trevisan (IT).
