The original word “MüstaKILL” defines a
structure independent from its surroundings,
an emancipated piece. The end of the word
has been altered, through a resemblance of
letters in Turkish and English, with the
addition of the word “kill,” connoting not
only killing but also censorship. “MüstaKILL”
is a cloth book symbolizing a political
structure, attitude and the past, comprised
of variations of a classic monumental figure
pointing towards the future. The monument
indicating an ossified, unchanging structure
takes on a different form on each page.
